1. Site of Old Chillicothe Marker
 
Inscription. The famous Shawnee Village destroyed four times by pioneer forces. It remained Ohio's leading Indian Town until 1807. On the rise to the west stood the bark Council House.
 
Erected 1930 by Ohio Revolutionary Memorial Commission. (Marker Number C1.)
 
Location. 39° 43.722′ N, 83° 56.222′ W. Marker is in Oldtown, Ohio, in Greene County. Marker is on U.S. 68 0.1 miles south of Brush Row Road, on the right when traveling south. Click for map.
