| | | 1. Site of Old Chillicothe Marker | | | Inscription. The famous Shawnee Village destroyed four times by pioneer forces. It remained Ohio's leading Indian Town until 1807. On the rise to the west stood the bark Council House. Erected 1930 by Ohio Revolutionary Memorial Commission. (Marker Number C1.) Location. 39° 43.722′ N, 83° 56.222′ W.
