| | | 1. Road to Monmouth Battlefield Marker | | | Inscription. In 1778, the Borough of New Hope was the colonial river crossing known as Coryell's Ferry. During the Revolution, the Grand Continental Army under the command of General George Washington crossed the Delaware River into NJ enroute to the battle at Monmouth, NJ. Erected by The Lambertville - New Hope Kiwanis Club. Location. 40° 21.79′ N, 74° 57.068′ W. Marker is in New Hope, Pennsylvania, in Bucks County. Marker is at the intersection of Main Street and Ferry Street, on the right when traveling north on Main Street. Click for map.
