Nelson - Army of the Ohio Indiana (Back):2nd. Cavalry, commanded by Lieut. Col. Edward M. McCook.This regiment arrived opposite Pittsburg Landing on Sunday evening, April 6th, 1862, with Gen. Nelson's Division. Was ordered to remain there until in the afternoon of the 7th when it crossed the river to the battlefield. Casualties. Wounded 2 men. Missing 1 man. Total 3. Erected by State of Indiana. Location. 35° 9.065′ N, 88° 19.408′ W. Marker is near Shiloh, Tennessee, in Hardin County. Marker is at the intersection of Pittsburg Landing Road and Residence Circle, on the right when traveling west on Pittsburg Landing Road. Click for map.
