Location. 41° 23.668′ N, 73° 57.151′ W. Marker is in West Point, New York, in Orange County. Marker is on Clinton Place, on the left when traveling north. Click for map. Marker is located at the United States Military Academy. Marker is in this post office area: West Point NY 10996, United States of America.

3. Marker at West Point
In April 1778, this fort was named Fort Arnold after the hero of Quebec and Saratoga. After Arnold’s treason, the fort was renamed Fort Clinton after Colonel James Clinton of the regiment which constructed it.
