| | | 1. Harmony House Marker | | | Inscription. Built in 1851 by Dr. and Mrs. William Andrew Harmon, this house was used as a place of refuge during the Civil War. Soldiers from both Confederate and Union armies camped in the back yard. Of Federal architecture, the interior contains prime examples of Tennessee craftmanship. Restoration was completed in 1980. Erected by Tennessee Historical Commission. (Marker Number 1C 61.) Location. 36° 10.054′ N, 82° 49.71′ W. Marker is in Greeneville, Tennessee, in Greene County.
