This site was designated a State Monument in 1956 and dedicated by the Honorable Earnest W. McFarland, Governor of Arizona, August 2, 1957.
 
Erected 1987 by Yarnell Wranglerettes, Inc, and Arizona Historical Society.
 
Location. 34° 16.851′ N, 112° 43.353′ W. Marker is near Yarnell, Arizona, in Yavapai County. Marker is on Arizona Route 89 at milepost 281.5, on the right when traveling north. Click for map. This marker is located at the entrance to the Genung Memorial Cemetery. Marker is in this post office area: Yarnell AZ 85362, United States of America.
