Location. 27° 56.921′ N, 82° 27.335′ W. Marker is in Tampa, Florida, in Hillsborough County. Marker is at the intersection of North Morgan Street and East Kennedy Boulevard (Business U.S. 41), on the left when traveling north on North Morgan Street. The Hillsborough Lodge Temple sits at the corner of East Kennedy and North Marion in downtown Tampa. The historic marker is mounted to the side of the building facing Marion, while the main entrance and all other plaques are located on the side facing Kennedy. Touch for map. Regarding Hillsborough Lodge. The Hillsborough Lodge completed this, their fourth Masonic Temple in 1928, and built it in the Mediterranean Revival style with Beaux-Arts detail, designed by M. Leo Elliott. The two-story structure features ornamental glazed terra-cotta detailing and elaborate brick work.
The structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 (#86002415), and is also a City of Tampa Local Landmark Structure.
