Inscription. Birthplace of John Hanson April 14, 1715 President of the United States in Congress Assembled 1781-1782 Died Oxon Hill, Maryland November 22, 1783.
 
Erected 1963 by Maryland Society – Sons of the American Revolution.
 
Location. 38° 29.48′ N, 77° 0.833′ W. Marker is in Port Tobacco, Maryland, in Charles County. Marker is on Mulberry Grove Place. Click for map. (Some maps incorrectly show Mulberry Grove Place as Avonela Lane.) The marker is located in a small circle about one-half mile up Mulberry Grove Place from its intersection with Chapel Point Road. Marker is in this post office area: Port Tobacco MD 20677, United States of America.
