Raith's (3d) Brig., McClernand's (1st) Div.,
Army of the Tennessee.

This regiment was engaged here, supporting Schwartz's battery, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 6, 1862. It then fell back 900 yards to McClernand's third line.
 
Erected by Shiloh National Military Park Commission. (Marker Number 30.)
 
Location. 35° 8.216′ N, 88° 21.176′ W. Marker is near Shiloh, Tennessee, in Hardin County. Marker is at the intersection of Corinth Road and Hamburg-Purdy Road, on the left when traveling north on Corinth Road. Click for map. 50 yards south of intersection. Located in Shiloh National Military Park. Marker is in this post office area: Shiloh TN 38376, United States of America.
