Inscription.
Harris Hill Cemetery is located Sec. 17, T3, and R1E, on the south side of Highway 72 East at the intersection of Moores Mill Road and Highway 72 East in a large clump of trees on a small rise. This is the old home place and family graveyard of Francis Eppes Harris; without a doubt, he and his wife are buried here, but no stones mark their graves.

In 2007 with the help of the present owner, Cole Walker, family members and the Twickenham Town Chapter, NSDAR, the old graves and cemetery were restored with additional markers placed.

There are numerous unmarked graves in this cemetery, but the following are the only known marked graves:
Col. Efford Bentley - Revolutionary War Soldier,
Wife - Elizabeth Gay Bentley
Francis Eppes Harris - Revolutionary War Soldier,
Wife - Ann Macon Harris
Lemuel Mead - One of the delegates from Madison County and original signers of the 1819 Alabama Constitution.
Son - Daniel Harris
Henry H. Bentley
Mary Perratt Roach
“J.H.L.” - Footstone
L. Shelton
Lavinia W. Roper
Frances T. Houston
