This Glacial Boulder found in the bed of the St. Joseph River was erected in 1902 by the Algonquin Chapter Daughters - American Revolution to commemorate the landing of Rene Robert Cavelier Sieur de La Salle and the building on this point. Fort Miamis 1679. Erected 1902 by Daughters of the American Revolution, Algonquin Chapter. Location. 42° 6.529′ N, 86° 29.052′ W. Marker is in St. Joseph, Michigan, in Berrien County.
