1. "Contentment" Marker
 
Inscription. Built, 1830, on the old James River and Kanawha Turnpike. Restored antebellum home of Colonel George W. Imboden, on General Lee's staff, C.S.A. Property and headquarters of the Fayette County Historical Society, organized in 1926.
 
Erected 1963 by West Virginia Historic Commission.
 
Location. 38° 7.873′ N, 81° 6.484′ W. Marker is in Ansted, West Virginia, in Fayette County. Marker is on West Main Street (U.S. 60). Click for map. In front of the Contentment Museum. Marker is in this post office area: Ansted WV 25812, United States of America.
