| | | 1. Murphy Brothers Marker | | | Inscription. The brothers John Murphy (1824-1892) and Daniel Murphy (1826-1882) reportedly pitched their trading tent near this site late in 1848. Erected 1977 by Matuca Chapter, E.C.V. Marker series. This marker is included in the E Clampus Vitus marker series. Location. 38° 8.259′ N, 120° 27.729′ W.
