Inscription.

This memorial is dedicated to the officers and airmen of the 731st Bomb Squadron who served during the Korean War. This was the first Air Force Reserve unit in history to be recalled to duty intact, and the first such to strike the enemy with lead elements flying combat 5 weeks after recall. It was the first unit equipped to fly low level radar night interdiction utilizing the Douglas B-26 and had the honor of flying the 10,000 sortie for the 3rd Bomb Group.
