Original St. Malachy Catholic Church at this site. Current bank building was remodeled from the second St. Malachy Church built in 1936.

Inscription. The present, remodeled bank building was constructed in 1936 as the second St. Malchy Church. In the early 1980's the structure was sold to the newly formed Sierra National Bank, which was acquired by the Bank of the Sierra in May 2000.

Erected by Tehachapi Heritage League. (Marker Number 11.)
