| | | 1. Soldiers and Sailors Memorial | | | Inscription. On Memorial Day May 30, 1969 the American Legion Post 88 Manitowoc dedicated the eternal flame to all veterans of Manitowoc County. The flame was kept burning with donations from the American Legion, other veterans organizations and concerned citizens of Manitowoc County until 1993 when funds were received from the Fanny Angus Healy trust for perpetual care of the eternal Flame and the Veterans Memorial. Erected 1923 by American Legion Post 88 Manitowoc. Location. 44° 6.156′ N, 87° 40.228′ W. Marker is in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, in Manitowoc County.
