| | | 1. Ebenezer Marker | | | Inscription. 1½ miles south, an early Methodist society in Tennessee was organized in 1790. The family of Henry Earnest, who settled here in 1779, comprised four fifths of the membership. The annual convention of the Western Conference was held here in 1795. Stone Dam Campground was nearby. Erected by Tennessee Historical Commission. (Marker Number 1C 27.) Location. 36° 12.945′ N, 82° 41.27′ W. Marker is in Chuckey, Tennessee, in Greene County. Marker is at the intersection of Chuckey Pike and Chuckey Hwy, on the left when traveling south on Chuckey Pike. Click for map. Marker is located at the southeast corner of the intersection.
