| | | 1. St. George Opera House Marker | | | Inscription. The Opera House served as the cultural center of the community from 1875 until the 1930s. The original "T" shaped building seated 300 persons. A mechanically adjustable sloping floor afforded an excellent view of the stage. Erected by St. George Historic Preservation Commission. Location. 37° 6.7′ N, 113° 34.968′ W. Marker is in Saint George, Utah, in Washington County. Marker is at the intersection of East 200 North and North Main Street, on the right when traveling west on East 200 North. Click for map.
