This locomotive was built in 1918, at the Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is one of five remaining of its class. This engine was donated to the City of Salinas by the Southern Pacific Railroad Co. in the summer of 1957. The goal is to restore this vintage engine back to its original condition.
