| | | 1. Abraham Lincoln’s Father Marker | | | Inscription. Four miles west, Thomas Lincoln, father of the President, was born about 1778. He was taken to Kentucky by his father about 1781. Beside the road here was Lincoln Inn, long kept by a member of the family. Erected 1942 by the Virginia Conservation Commission. (Marker Number A-18.) Location. 38° 32.547′ N, 78° 45.912′ W. Marker is near Harrisonburg, Virginia, in Rockingham County. Marker is on Valley Pike (U.S. 11) north of Lacey Spring Road, on the left when traveling south. Click for map.
