John and William Bartram, naturalists, explored Ebenezer and Effingham County on their Savannah~ Augusta Travels.
 
Erected by Effingham County Council of Gardens Club of Georgia, the Garden Club of Georgia Inc., Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
