| | | 1. The Campbell – Christie House Marker | | | Inscription. This Dutch Style sandstone house had stood in New Milford since the Revolution. Faced with demolition it was saved for our country’s heritage by moving it to this site on September 27, 1977. This preservation was accomplished through the combined efforts of the organizations named here.

He and his wife raised 9 children in the house, four of the sons going on to serve in the Bergen Militia during the Revolutionary War. The house was moved to this location on September 27, 1977. | | |
