| | | 1. El Adobe de Los Robles Ranchos Marker | | | Inscription. This restored adobe, second oldest in San Joaquin Valley, built by Daniel Rhoades, who came to California in 1846 by overland caravan. Rhoades and his brother, John, among organizers of the first expedition to rescue the Donner party at Donner Lake. Adobe built in 1856, has had continued occupancy since. Erected 1950 by California Centennials Commission. Base furnished by Kings County Centennials Committee (Dedicated February 4, 1950). (Marker Number 206.) Location. 36° 19.663′ N, 119° 48.525′ W. Marker is near Lamoore, California, in Kings County. Marker is at the intersection of 19 1/2 Avenue (State Highway 41) and Lacy Boulevard when traveling south on 19 1/2 Avenue. Click for map.
