Confederate Avenue, on the left when traveling west on Berdan Avenue. Click for map. Located on Seminary Ridge, in the Pitzer's Woods section, in Gettysburg National Military Park. Marker is in this post office area: Gettysburg PA 17325, United States of America.

1. Berdan's Sharpshooters. Company F was part of the special regiments formed by Hiram Berdan in 1862, utilizing expert marksmen. The Sharpshooters were intended to be employed similarly to modern day snipers. However, in operation, the regiments were often detailed as skirmishers.
