Inscription. Abraham Lincoln traveled this way as he rode the Circuit of the Eighth Judicial District ··· 1847 - 1857

Erected 1921 by the Lincoln Circuit Marking Association and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Location. 39° 48.032′ N, 89° 38.915′ W. Marker is in Springfield, Illinois, in Sangamon County. Marker is on East Adams Street west of Sixth Street, on the left when traveling west. Click for map. On East Adams Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets (Lincoln Square) on the "Wall of Placques" across the street from the "Old State Capital" building.
