1. Seven Days Battles Marker
Inscription. Across the road here stretched the Confederate line of battle, facing south, in the afternoon of July 1, 1862. Jackson commanded here, Magruder to the west. Longstreet and A. P. Hill were in reserve the battle lasted intermittently. From morning to night, reaching its crisis late in the afternoon. The disjointed Confederate attacks were repulsed with heavy loss.
 
Erected 1932 by Conservation & Development Commission. (Marker Number PA 195.)
 
Location. 37° 24.995′ N, 77° 14.942′ W. Marker is in Glendale, Virginia, in Henrico County. Marker is at the intersection of Willis Church Road (Virginia Route 156) and Carter Mills Road, on the right when traveling south on Willis Church Road. Click for map. Marker is located in the Malvern Hill Battlefield Unit of the Richmond National Battlefield Park, on the southeast corner of the intersection of Willis Church Road and Carter Mills Road. Marker is in this post office area: Henrico VA 23231, United States of America.

These cannon, located about mile south of the marker, were the object of the Confederate attack on July 1, 1862.
