1. The Fort Parapet Marker
Inscription. Fort Harrison (renamed Fort Burhham) as it appeared in 1864-65. At the time of construction, Fort Harrison was surrounded by open fields.
 
Erected by Richmond National Battlefield Park - National Park Service.
 
Location. This marker has been replaced by another marker nearby. It was located near 37° 25.564′ N, 77° 22.389′ W. Marker was in Richmond, Virginia, in Henrico County. Marker could be reached from Battlefield Park Road, on the left when traveling south. Click for map. Marker is located on the walking trail in the Fort Harrison Unit of Richmond National Battlefield Park. Marker was in this post office area: Henrico VA 23231, United States of America.

The remains of the parapet of Fort Burhham can be see behind the marker.
The bottom of the marker contains a war-time photograph of a parapet of Fort Burhham.
 
Regarding The Fort Parapet. This marker was replaced by a new one named Building Fort Burnham (See nearby markers).
