1. Smyrna Baptist Church Marker
Inscription. Organized in 1827 as Kirkland Church, the name was changed in 1836 to Smyrna Baptist Church. Title to the site was conveyed in 1849 by William I. Mixon.

Additional land was given by Thomas H. Willingham in 1882 to extend the church property to the Matthew's Bluff Road.
 
Erected 1962 by Descendants of Organizers and Early Leaders. (Marker Number 3-1.)
 
Location. 32° 56.197′ N, 81° 21.174′ W. Marker is in Allendale, South Carolina, in Allendale County. Marker is on Bluff Road (State Highway S-3-22), on the right when traveling north. Click for map. Between SC Highways S-3-23 and SC S-3-343. Marker is in this post office area: Allendale SC 29810, United States of America.
