1. Waynesburg College Marker
Inscription. Founded in 1849 by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Chartered by the State in 1850. One of the first two colleges in Pennsylvania to grant degrees to women, in 1857.
 
Erected 1948 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
 
Location. 39° 53.942′ N, 80° 11.307′ W. Marker is in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, in Greene County. Marker is at the intersection of Morris Street (U.S. 19) and College Street, on the right when traveling north on Morris Street. Click for map.
