1. Union Counterthrust Marker
Inscription. From this position green troops of Vermont struck the flank of Pickett's division even as its front ranks were locked in savage struggle at the Angle. This section helped turn the Confederate high tide.
 
Location. 39° 48.691′ N, 77° 14.203′ W. Marker is near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, in Adams County. Marker can be reached from Hancock Avenue, on the left when traveling north. Click for map.
