David Mossom, rector there for forty years, was the minister who married George Washington. According to one tradition, the wedding took place at St. Peter's Church. Erected 1930 by Conservation & Development Commission. (Marker Number WO 13.) Location. 37° 31.511′ N, 77° 4.63′ W. Marker is in Talleysville, Virginia, in New Kent County.
