1. 7th West Virginia Infantry Marker

One of three position markers that complement the 7th West Virginia Monument on East Cemetery Hill. The trefoil symbol of Second Corps appears in the corners of the marker.

2. 7th West Virginia Infantry Charge

Looking down the slope of East Cemetery Hill toward Wainwright Avenue. In the evening of July 2nd, the 7th West Virginia charged from near the Cemetery Gate, over the top of the hill, and cleared Confederates who had penetrated the Federal defenses near Rickett's Battery

3. After the Charge

After the charge was completed, and the Confederates withdrew from East Cemetery Hill, the West Virginians moved down the slope to Brickyard Lane (today Wainwright Avenue). See related markers for the last position marker for the regiment.
