1. Delaware Canal Marker
Inscription. Uhlertown, known as Mexico at an earlier date, was named for Michael Uhler, boatbuilder and operator of a line of canal boats. Lock No. 18 and well kept buildings are interesting reminders of canal days.
 
Erected 1948 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
 
Location. 40° 31.525′ N, 75° 4.36′ W. Marker is in Uhlertown, Pennsylvania, in Bucks County. Marker is on Uhlerstown Hill Road, on the right when traveling west. Click for map. Marker is in this post office area: Upper Black Eddy PA 18972, United States of America.
