1. Account of the Fight
As with many actions inside Mosby's Confederacy, a detail from Mosby's force of Rangers setup an ambush of Federal forces who patrolled the region. Some 100 Federals from the 14th Pennsylvania, were attacked by a force of Rangers. The reports vary, but nearly the entire Federal force was killed, wounded, or captured. The Rangers suffered no casualties.
