1. Jackson's Headquarters Marker

Inscription. In an outhouse here at Moss Neck, Stonewall Jackson had his headquarters, December, 1862-March, 1863. He was engaged in guarding the line of the Rappahannock with his corps of Lee's army.

Erected 1928 by Conservation & Development Commission. (Marker Number N 11.)

Location. 38° 13.592′ N, 77° 18.582′ W. Marker is near Fredericksburg, Virginia, in Caroline County. Marker is on Tidewater Trail (U.S. 17) 1.1 miles east of Pepmeier Hill Road, on the right when traveling east. Click for map.
