Inscription.
South Point Complex has been designated a Registered National Historic Landmark under the provisions of the Historical Sites act of August 21st 1935. This site possesses exceptional value in commemorating and illustrating the history of United States.
 
Erected 1964 by U.S. Department of the Interior - National Park Service.

Location. 18° 55.252′ N, 155° 40.318′ W. Marker is near Naalehu, Hawaii, in Hawaii County. Marker is on South Point Road, 11 miles south of Mamalahoa Highway (Hawaii Route 11), on the left when traveling south. Touch for map. Regarding South Point Complex. Near here is the southernmost point in the United States of America. Hawaii, not Florida, is its southernmost state.
