1. First Landing Marker
Inscription. Near here the first permanent English settlers in North America first landed on American soil, April 26, 1607. From here they went on to make the settlement at Jamestown. The brick lighthouse was built in 1791.
 
Erected 1936 by Conservation & Development Commission. (Marker Number KV-15.)
 
Location. 36° 54.894′ N, 76° 0.689′ W. Marker is in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Marker is on Shore Dr (Route 60) north of Atlantic Ave, on the right when traveling north. Click for map. Marker is in this post office area: Virginia Beach VA 23459, United States of America.
