Inscription.
The monument was erected by
The Howth Fishermens Association
and commemorated the lives
of all persons lost at sea,
no matter where or no matter how.

Lost at Sea, March 1st 1982 in Rossaveal.
Sadly missed by their families & friends

In loving memory of the crew of
‘The Geraldine’
Joseph Rickard (Skipper),
Patrick Harford, Patrick O'Rourke,
Joseph Gaffney, Christopher Farren.
Who perished when their boat was sunk
by a German U-Boat off Lambay Island, on 30th March 1918.

Remembered with love by his family

died when the St. Ibar sank
on 30th October 1973
