Department of Conservation and Development
Inscription. Built 1839, near site of older church, begun about 1751. Graves of Cornelius Harnett and Thomas Godfrey.
 
Erected 1936 by Department of Conservation and Development & State Historical Commission. (Marker Number D 5.)
 
Location. 34° 14.132′ N, 77° 56.693′ W. Marker is in Wilmington, North Carolina, in New Hanover County. Marker is at the intersection of Market Street (U.S. 17) and South 4th Street, on the right when traveling east on Market Street. Click for map.
