Inscription. Erected 1875-6. First house of worship built in North Carolina by the Jews. Congregation established in 1867.
 
Erected 1951 by Archives, Conservation, and Highway Departments. (Marker Number D 44.)
 
Location. 34° 14.135′ N, 77° 56.664′ W. Marker is in Wilmington, North Carolina, in New Hanover County.
