known and the unknown dead.

This new Barkhamsted Cemetery has been
constructed by the Water Bureau of the
Metropolitan District of Hartford County,
in co-operation with the Barkhamsted
Center Cemetery Association, Incorporated.

Location. 41° 55.445′ N, 72° 57.965′ W. Marker is in Barkhamsted, Connecticut, in Litchfield County. Marker is at the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road (Connecticut Route 318) and Beach Rock Road, on the right when traveling north on Pleasant Valley Road. Click for map. Regarding Barkhamsted Center Cemetery. In 1939 several cemeteries in the area now covered by the Barkhamsted Reservoir were relocated to the this site. Some of the graves moved were unidentified. These were all put in the "Unknown" section of the Center Cemetery.
