2. Paterson Marker
A well-known Paterson philanthropist, Charles Curie was born in France and came to America as a child. He served in the Civil War, attaining the rank of captain, before becoming a successful lawyer and real estate developer.
monument consists of a bust of Charles Curie atop a granite base. The rear of the base contains a wreath with crossed swords.
