1. Battle Creek Cypress Swamp Marker
Inscription. A Bald Cypress Reserve and amphibian sanctuary. One of the last remaining stands of Bald Cypress in Maryland, and the most northerly growth in the Country. Registered as a National Landmark, 1965.
 
Erected by Maryland Historical Society.
 
Location. 38° 29.534′ N, 76° 35.394′ W. Marker is in Prince Frederick, Maryland, in Calvert County. Marker is on Grays Road 0.1 miles south of Sixes Road (Maryland Route 506), on the right when traveling south. Click for map.
