1. Carriage Shed Marker
Inscription. To the right is the carriage shed. This building is an original building to the site. It was used to store a wagon or other horse drawn equipment.

To the left is a blacksmith shop. Even though this building is not original, the blacksmith was very important to the farmer. Many farmers had blacksmithing skills and would be called on by others in the community to make or fix things for them.

Location. 35° 59.317′ N, 79° 26.816′ W. Marker is in Burlington, North Carolina, in Alamance County. Marker can be reached from R. Dean Coleman Road. Click for map. The historic farm is located at Cedarock Park. From interstate 40/85, take exit 145. Travel 6 miles on NC Highway 49 South. Turn left onto Friendship Patterson Mill Road & then left onto R. Dean Coleman Road. Marker is at or near this postal address: 4242 R. Dean Coleman Road, Burlington NC 27215, United States of America.
