Inscription.
Harry S. Truman began his political career here, serving as administrative judge from 1923 to 1925 and presiding judge from 1927 to 1935, overseeing the building's 1932 major renovation.
 
Erected by City of Independence and Jackson County Parks and Recreation. (Marker Number 4.)
