1. The Hermitage Marker
Inscription. Home of Andrew Jackson (1767~1845), Major General in the Army, hero of the Battle of New Orleans, and seventh President of the United States. It was originally built in 1819; partially burned in 1834, during Jackson's second term, replaced by the present building in 1835. He died here, and is buried in the garden.
 
Erected by Tennessee Historical Commission. (Marker Number 3A 13.)
 
Location. 36° 12.62′ N, 86° 37.346′ W. Marker is in Hermitage, Tennessee, in Davidson County. Marker is on Rachels Lane. Click for map.
