Raith's (3d) Brig., McClernand's (1st) Div.,
Army of the Tennessee.

This regiment was engaged here at 4.30 p.m. April 6, 1862 and assisted in repelling a cavalry charge and an attack by Pond's brigade. It then retired to the siege guns.
 
Erected by Shiloh National Military Park Commission. (Marker Number 34.)
 
Location. 35° 8.764′ N, 88° 20.206′ W. Marker is in Shiloh, Tennessee, in Hardin County. Marker is on Cavalry Road ¼ mile west of Hamburg-Savannah Road, on the right when traveling west.
