First position in line of battle April 6, 1862, was 100 yards forward, in the ravine.
 
Erected by Shiloh National Military Park Commission. (Marker Number A11.)
 
Location. 35° 8.03′ N, 88° 20.867′ W. Marker is near Shiloh, Tennessee, in Hardin County. Marker can be reached from Hamburg-Purdy Road 0.4 miles east of Sherman Road, on the right when traveling east. Click for map. 70 yards southwest of road behind Veatch's Brigade Marker (157), in Shiloh National Military Park. Marker is in this post office area: Shiloh TN 38376, United States of America.
