This regiment occupied this position from 4 P.M., April 6, 1862, until next morning when it advanced under command of Col. Marsh.
 
Erected by Shiloh National Military Park Commission. (Marker Number 40.)
 
Location. 35° 9.112′ N, 88° 20.167′ W. Marker is near Shiloh, Tennessee, in Hardin County. Marker is on Pittsburg Landing Road 0.2 miles south of State Highway 22, on the right when traveling south.
