Inscription. 1029 acres, purchased June 28, 1927, from John O. Thayer; from Hunter's License Fund, for the purpose of propagating game.
 
Erected by E. Lee Le’Compte, State Game Warden of Maryland.
 
Location. 39° 31.834′ N, 79° 20.733′ W. Marker is near McHenry, Maryland, in Garrett County. Marker is at the intersection of Garrett Highway (U.S. 219) and Rock Lodge Road, on the right when traveling north on Garrett Highway. Click for map.
